Commercial pressure gauge

Pioneer's commercial pressure gauge is the economical choice for indoor, non-corrosive service: an MS powder-coated case with a brass measuring system and movement, 40 to 100 mm dials, ranges from 0–1 to 0–600 kg/cm² and IP 54 protection. It is widely used by OEMs, compressor and hydraulic machine builders.

Pioneer commercial pressure gauge with black case and brass connection

How it works and when to use it

When a gauge lives inside a machine guard or on a clean, dry panel and only has to show air, water or oil pressure, a stainless build is more than the job needs. The commercial gauge keeps the same dial layout and ranges, with a brass system and a painted steel case at a lower price, which is why machine builders order it in volume.

For outdoor, wet, corrosive or high-vibration locations, use the stainless steel gauge or the glycerine filled gauge instead.

Versions

  • Bottom connection. Direct mounting on lines, regulators and manifolds.
  • Back connection. Panel and flush mounting on machine fronts.
  • Small dial, 40 to 63 mm. For regulators, filter-regulator-lubricator sets and compact OEM equipment.

Typical applications

  • Air compressors and pneumatic panels
  • Hydraulic machines and presses
  • Machine building and OEM skids
  • Water purifiers and pumps for indoor use
  • Gas regulators and test benches

Consultant specification clause

Paste into your technical specification or BOQ and adjust ranges and quantities.

  1. Pressure gauges for indoor, non-corrosive service shall have a brass measuring system and movement in an MS powder-coated case, protection IP 54.
  2. Dial size 63 mm (100 mm where scheduled), black graduations on white, with sheet glass window.
  3. Range so that working pressure is about half of full scale; over-range 130% of full scale.
  4. Connection 1/4" or 1/2" BSP as scheduled. Make: Pioneer Industrial Instruments, Pune, or approved equivalent.

Questions buyers ask

Where should I not use a commercial gauge?

Outdoors, in wet or wash-down areas, on corrosive media, on steam without a siphon, or on heavy pulsation. Use the stainless or glycerine filled gauge there.

Do you supply commercial gauges in bulk for OEMs?

Yes. Send the dial size, range, connection and annual quantity; dual scale and custom dial printing can be discussed at quotation.

Is the commercial gauge accurate enough for a test bench?

For calibration and test work use the ±0.25% FSD test gauge.

What is the difference between a commercial and a stainless steel pressure gauge?

The commercial gauge has a brass measuring system in a painted MS case (IP 54) for clean, dry, indoor use. The stainless gauge has SS 316 wetted parts and an SS 304 case (IP 65 / IP 67) for process, outdoor and corrosive service.

What dial sizes are available in commercial gauges?

40, 50, 63 and 100 mm.
